Weekend in Review

It is now 6:00 o'clock on a Monday evening and I have yet to really wake up. I slept in a little later this morning to make up for a too busy weekend and had to sacrifice my morning run to Starbucks before work. A mistake I will hopefully not be making again. It really is pathetic how dependent I have become on my caffeine hit everyday, it seems as though I can’t function without it and I am trying to remember how and when exactly this happened. I could go weeks without drinking pop, coffee or any other forms of caffeine in college and I would be fine… and that was when I was getting to bed after midnight! I guess it’s one of the disadvantages of growing up and getting a real job.

As tired and exhausted as I am; this past week and weekend was hectic but a lot of fun and so worth it.

~ I was able to see one of my best and oldest friends, Stephanie, since she was in town for her brother’s wedding. Which meant I also had the chance to hang out with one of my favorite friends, Kristen, a lot the past couple days. (We see each other so little now that we have to take pictures when we get together) Love both of these girls to death!
~ Jeremy and I were in some desperate need for “us” time and took Friday night to go to one of our favorite restaurants, Texas Roadhouse, and back to our apartment to watch movies and do absolutely nothing the rest of the night. Awesome.

~ I had the chance to go down to Boulder with Jeremy on Saturday since he had some work to do in the lab and *sigh* was forced to do some shopping while I was there, which I hate. =)

~ We were able to help some friends move into their new apartment on Saturday and then relaxed with board games, which again, lasted too late in the night.

~ Sunday was spent with Jeremy’s parents at their house catching up and fixing some things around the house (Jeremy, not me). It’s become a weekly tradition to go over to their home for brunch after church each week and it has turned into a highlight I look forward to every weekend.

~ We also signed a lease with our apartment complex for another 3 months, which will take us into the end of October. We are hoping to start looking at houses in this area pretty soon and I am getting very nervous but also very excited! We have already started looking at some houses online and have found a few that I love. I’m sure I’m going to be writing about this a lot in the next coming months and keeping updated on any progress or decisions we will be making.

All in all a fulfilling weekend and one that reminds me how blessed I am with family and friends. I really am a lucky girl.
